Andrea J. Baker's decade of online facilitating is combined with leadership of discussions offline, in college classrooms and for
community organizations for over twenty years. Online she currently co-hosts the Life Online conference at Brainstorms, the After Hours
forum at the New Café, and has helped facilitate MetaNet and GroupJazz conferences online.
She has developed and taught courses online in Ohio University's distance education program. She presented workshops in online learning
and took courses online about planning and managing distance learning. With a Ph.D. in Sociology, Andrea pursues an active research program,
studying relationships of couples who first met online and online communities of fans of rock music. She has published a book with
Hampton Press called Double Click: Romance and Commitment of Online Couples (2005).
